Just a Layout...

Not feeling so well today... went to bed at 7:30 last night and, after getting up at 5:00am to get GiGi to school and going back to sleep at 6:30am once she left, got out of bed at 9:45.  That's a long sleep.  Couldn't even get up at 9:00 last night when GiGi got home from Cheer practice.  At any rate, it's 3:30 pm and I'm still in my 'loungewear'!  But I did do a layout today, sometimes it just makes me happy enough to feel better.  So here it is and I'll just post something later when I feel better.

Patterned Paper:  American Crafts, Echo Park, Fancy Pants; Stickers: American Crafts, Echo Park, Pebbles; Gems: Hampton Arts; Punches: Creative Memories, EK Success; Ink: Ranger; Pen; Sharpie

I love.love.love. Echo Park Paper.  And that's all I'm going to say about that.

I took the layout outside to photograph and once I got it downloaded noticed how odd the colors were in the shade and how many shadows showed in the sun so am showing both of those.  But honestly I just didn't feel like going through that whole process again, so it is what it is.

Create something lovely - and if you have any wonderful hints on how I can photograph mine, let me know!!

Cheerio!

  1. I love your layout! It's funny because it looks so teal in the photo and absolutely gorgeous! I scan my layouts, and I still don't get a true color image! Hope you get to feeling better.

    1. Debbie... Thanks so much. As Cynthia can attest, I would have no problem having a teal background! LOL! Thanks for all the great conversation regarding scanning the photos. Still can't wait to try that but it will be at least the 1st of December before my scanner gets hooked back up. Loving your layouts everyday - and your embellishments are fine!

  2. Ha! I was just thinking that the powder blue looked quite lovely! ;-) Have you tried using Flickr? It's free and has a photo editor called Aviary. I find a bit of tweaking helps my images look more true to life. Anyway, I do love the page. The layers and embellishments are really cute! And I also hope you feel better soon! Hugs!

    1. Cynthia, Is Aviary better than Photoshop (just got PSE 11 for the kids... well it's on my computer! Hahaha)? You know I Photoshopped that layout to see if I could get the truer colors to come out and no luck. Maybe I'll try the Aviary next time - I just have issues with Flickr (I'm an idiot!). As always, thanks for the hugs... you know I love them! Luv ya.
